SUNSEASKY is pleased to welcome Protect the Citizen to our roster. Based in Leicester, England (UK), Dave Voss is a downtempo electronic artist who originally envisioned the project as a full ensemble vs. solo endeavor, an evolution that followed his time as drummer for English post-rock outfit Maybeshewill. Previous contributions to the label include a track on Melorman’s Somewhere, Someday & Away (Remixes) LP (2018) and videographer credits on several label promo reels.
Blending melodic synths and delayed guitars with intricate, glitch-driven percussion, Protect the Citizen creates immersive soundscapes that balance warmth and precision. Many of the rhythmic textures are crafted from original samples of everyday household objects, lending the music a tactile and organic edge. The result is a distinctive fusion of sharp clicks and lush, reflective layers—a cinematic soundtrack for quiet moments of introspection. Protect the Citizen’s label debut entitled ‘Chasing Waves’ will be released in early 2026.
